Forums are an incredibly great and fun way to converse with other people on a more personal level but, they can also cost a lot of money to develop, design, and host. However, recently I found a few websites online that will actually build your forum for you, customize it, and host it, for free! These forums are awesome because they integrate one of the most popular forms of coding which is that of the phpBB; phpBB is an abbreviation on PHP bulletin Board, Available under the GNU General Public License, phpBB is free software. Forum software packages are also widely obtainable on the Internet and are written in a variety of computer programming languages, such as PHP, Perl, Java and ASP. The conformation and records of posts can be stacked away in text files or in a database.

Every single day people are trying to figure out how they can make money online, if only they realized how easy it was, they would probably be kicking themselves right now! You can actually start earning money on a forum! Yep, it’s true, you can earn money several different ways on a forum, either a new or an old one. I actually prefer starting from scratch and would advise you to try this out with a clean slate but really you can try whatever you want and do it however you want to do it!

By definition a forum or a message board is a website for communication between members to talk about various things that interest them. Forums usually consist of group contributors who must register within the forum before any initial conversing goes on, the members use topics known as threads to communicate with each other using items called posts. These sites will also have something else called PMs or private messages. Most all forums are completely free to join, through depending on the site and what it’s for, there may be a membership available or a fee in order to post threads. For example, on one forum I go to, it’s completely free, however, if you want to have “donor” status, have access to certain parts of the forum and have a bigger inbox, you can pay a 3 month or 1 year membership. On another forum I’m a member of, it’s completely free, however, if you want to post a thread in the marketplace or service section; you must pay a fee.

Some things in life really are free! Lately I have been looking online for few sites that offer free meeting places like forums and message boards, and these websites really are few and far in between. For some reason no one is really into providing free forums or free web hosting, I guess a lot of people are hungry and think “hey if I’m not getting something out of the deal, then neither are you.” However, there are people that don’t think like this and will assist you in getting something really cool like this.

You know, a Ferrari isn’t awesome because its $250,000 and a cup of coffee isn’t awesome because its $4.00 (I go to starbucks). Its awesome because of the passion, craftsmanship and yummy biscotti that goes along with it! A free forum doesn’t make the forum worth any less or any more, what makes it worthy or unworthy is the work you put into it, the advertising, marketing, posts, customizations, niches, thoughts, ideas, etc. If you think you can really spruce up a forum and make people want to join it, it doesn’t matter if its $250k or $4, they will join it.

Forums come in all shapes, sizes, colors and assortments. Some of these forums are for fun, sports, tech, education, law, gaming, or even business reasons. Most of the forums I belong to are business but, they also have a ton of other informational threads, posts and sections you can look at to get ideas for all sorts of things like running a business, starting a business, tax laws, making money online, etc. I would love to own a forum like this, but I was always under the impression that not only were this forums impossible to build unless you had knowledge, but they were also really expensive.
